El Gobierno de Tamaulipas, con un 90% del proyecto aprobado por la SICT, iniciar\u00e1 en 2026 la ampliaci\u00f3n del Puente Internacional Nuevo Laredo III, tambi\u00e9n conocido como Puente del Comercio Mundial. La obra agregar\u00e1 10 nuevos carriles a los 8 existentes, alcanzando un total de 18. En 2024 se entreg\u00f3 documentaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica, jur\u00eddica y financiera para extender la concesi\u00f3n que vence en julio de 2026. Ya se cuenta con la aprobaci\u00f3n ambiental y el derecho de v\u00eda.
